Depending on the original capturing format, ie: simplex or duplex microfilming. A normal roll of 16mm microfilm can contain between 2000 to 5000 images. Frequently this microform is stored on open reels, cartridges and cassettes. 35mm roll film is generally used capturing large format drawings up to A0 in size although it is not uncommon to find broad sheet newspapers and oversized books recorded on 35mm microfilm. The standard length of 35mm microfilm is 30 metres and depending on the original document size and film format can contain between 600 and 800 images. This microform is normally stored in open reel format. Our industry knowledge and experience has been gained over many decades.
